Mutiny

Today was the day that Savanna became a true unadulterated teen-ager.  Today was the day that we began our Panhandle Idahoan hike as a happy family of five....... until we hit snow.  That is when Savanna said, "Oh, hell no! I won't go." She turned around and, despite our pleading, returned to the car to wait hours for us to return.   Today is the day when we, as parents, decided that it was more important for Savanna to claim some power in our family system than it was to ensure her safety.  Or maybe it was the day that she became so annoying that we didn't really care so much if she got eaten by wolves.
